Mission Statement from the founder,

Established in 2001, VIVA SURF is a private label brand focused on promoting the board sporting lifestyle, and producing quality products for board sports, travel and leisure.

VIVA SURF is inspired by the rich (but little known) history of Texas surfing, and the influence of surfing & skateboarding on modern culture. In addition to growing up surfing the Gulf Coast of Texas, my travels have taken me to some of the most hallowed locations of surfing history, and some lesser known, hidden gems. Each journey reveals another experience that fuels my desire to explore more places, meet new people (both locals and fellow travelers), enjoy our common interests, and share the unique flavors of our different cultures.

From the Atlantic Seaboard and Caribbean Islands, to Central American Rainforests and many destinations across the Pacific, there are a few important things I have learned on my adventures... There are wonderful people everywhere, we all sway to the pull of the tides, and it's never too late to start.

 
I consider myself an ambassador of surfing & skating, as well as a steward of the environment so we may continue playing together, sharing the beauty and hospitality of destinations around the world.

The vision behind VIVA SURF is to produce cool, fun stuff that celebrates the balance of intensity and laid-back style (aggro/casual) that surf & skate culture embody, and to share my enjoyment of travel & adventures across the land & sea, history of board sports, and the zen state of the ride.  That's a lot. I know, but you're welcome to join the party.

VIVA [ vee-vah ] interjection: an exclamation of acclaim or approval.

SURF [ surf ] noun: the swell of the sea that breaks upon a shore; verb: to ride a surfboard.
